The Iowa City Foreign Relations Council seeks to promote understanding of international issues by hosting community forums with expert speakers from around the world.

The Council hosts experts who speak on foreign policy, international relations, law, arts, the environment, politics, diplomacy, and current events. Events are scheduled primarily during the academic year, held from 12:00 to 1:15 PM. After a break at 1:00 PM to allow those who must leave to make their exit, the final fifteen minutes are dedicated to a question and answer period. A locally catered lunch is available for purchase.  Lunch is free for Honors students.
