Peace Corps at the University of Iowa

Since 1961, more than 646 UI alums and 2,284 Iowans have served as Peace Corps Volunteers using their skills around the world to serve others in peace and friendship.

Take a look at where UI alumni are currently serving abroad through Peace Corps:

The UI Peace Corps Representative, Meredith Mahy Gall, provides Peace Corps information and application assistance to students and community members during the academic year. Meredith hosts Peace Corps information sessions and applications workshops, attends area career fairs, interviews Peace Corps applicants, and shares her experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana. You can also meet with Meredith during her walk-in office hours and by appointment. In addition, she is available to speak to classes, clubs, and organizations about Peace Corps opportunities.
